1. Introduction
LutaBase is an iOS application developed by OSSS Performance (Bundle ID: com.osssperformance.lutabase). It is designed to help martial artists record, organise, and share their training techniques. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your data. By using LutaBase, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and optionally an avatar photo. This information is used to identify you within the app and enable features such as sharing techniques with training partners.
User Content
LutaBase allows you to record and upload training videos along with associated metadata (titles, descriptions, tags, and technique notes). You may also maintain a list of training partners linked to your account.
Usage Data
We collect general usage information such as app interactions and feature engagement to help us improve the service. This data is aggregated and not used to personally identify you.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and authenticate your sessions.
- To store and serve your training videos and associated content.
- To enable sharing of techniques with your training partners.
- To send push notifications relevant to your training activity (if you have opted in).
- To send occasional product updates or announcements via email (you may unsubscribe at any time).
- To process subscription payments and manage your plan.
- To analyse usage patterns and improve the app experience.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored using Supabase cloud infrastructure hosted in the ap-southeast-2 (Australia) region. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS. Videos and other content are stored in private, access-controlled cloud storage buckets. While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.
5. Third-Party Services
LutaBase uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
Supabase
Provides database, authentication, and cloud storage. Your account data and videos are stored on Supabase infrastructure in Australia.
OneSignal
Powers push notifications. If you opt in to notifications, your device token is shared with OneSignal to deliver alerts. You can withdraw consent at any time through your device settings.
Loops.so
Used for transactional and marketing emails. Your email address may be passed to Loops when you create an account or opt in to communications. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the link in each email.
Apple (StoreKit)
All in-app purchases and subscriptions are processed through Apple's payment infrastructure via StoreKit. OSSS Performance does not store your payment card details. Apple's privacy policy governs payment data.
6. Your Rights
You have the following rights in relation to your personal data:
- Access: You can view your account information at any time within the app.
- Correction: You can update your display name and avatar photo through your profile settings.
- Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data using the in-app delete account feature. This action is irreversible and will remove your videos, profile, and training partner connections.

7. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile information, videos, and training partner data are permanently removed from our systems. Aggregated, anonymised usage data may be retained for analytics purposes and cannot be used to identify you.
8. Children's Privacy
LutaBase is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us at privacy@lutabase.com.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If changes are significant, we will notify you through the app or via email. Continued use of LutaBase after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
